I'm currently the proud owner of my first, well established veggie and flower gardens. I currently have tomatoes, red onion, carrots, cucumbers, basil, dill and chive all growing in my veggie garden and I dont even know whats in my flower garden. I guess green thumbs run in the family

You will soon have more veggies than you know what to do with. Fortunately, I can help you with that problem. Send them to me! ;)

Where I am in CA, the ground is way too hard for gardens. Tried. Failed. Have to have a jackhammer to dig into the dirt.

Oh my ground was pretty tough too. It took half a day to churn the soil and then my neighbors gave me half a truck beds worth of compost and fertilizer enriched soil. On top of me tilling in time release fertilizer. The carrots are in a separate planter box with JUST potting soil though. Those things can be tricky

The one and only time I tried to grow carrots as a kid was an utter disaster. I kept pulling them up every other day to see if they were ready. >__<

lol their originally going to be for our bunny we're getting at the end of the summer. I don't plan on pulling them until he's here for a bit so they should be fully grown then

my bf has a super big soft spot for them so I'm getting him one for his b-day. Sadly he already found out due to very unfortunate happenings. I made a thread about it "Starting the Gathering of Supplies"

Be careful with introducing the veggies too early. Bunnies shouldn't have veggies until they're closer to a year old :/ You could add small bits of herb to his hay!
I'm so jealous!! I can't grow a thing. I found free strawbery plants a couple years ago when I had my deck and they had established growth and berries but when I took it home -_- It died.
I can grow herbs and did quite well in my last house (fantastic south facing windows) but the soil is full of lead from the Great fires -_-
Nothing grows here, I even killed my java fern... (cries)
