New Pair!

Got a new breeding pair of HMPKs today! So excited about these guys. Once they get settled in, I'll take some good pictures of them. Right now, the male is enjoying the space of a sanitized 5 gallon tank. The female has been introduced to my sorority. Both are being watched very carefully.

Good luck with these guys. HMPK is my favorite tail type and I can't wait to see a few pictures of them.

Here are a couple pictures that I managed to get. I'll be taking more as they settle in and color starts showing more.

He looks promising with the color because he Is definitely a marble which means you're definitely going to have a surprise of color. Possibly a Dalmatian? I'm just guessing. From these pictures I can't judge his fins, but I'll give it time.

The first 4 pics are actually the female. The last is the male. I'm waiting for them to settle in and color up.
You can see some red on the female already. The male has yellow in his fins.

I guess not sleeping at 4:00am really does something to you lol. Though in the second picture of the female, she almost looks like she is a DT geno without the split caudal. Though that clears up as well in the last few pictures.

She does have a wide dorsal so I think she does carry the DbT gene. I have plans to breed this pair. At another time, I think I might try pairing her with one of my DbT males.
