I saw a post a few months ago where someone used two decorative glass containers from a hobby store and put them next to each other with a male in each to get them to flare

Acrylic is going to be better than glass, but if glass is all you have, then go for it. I'm trying to find some Beanie Baby display cases. Copperarabian recommended them to me.

I use a 10 dollar glass vase from wally world. It's only a temporary environment so it's ok. Try to find one with flat surfaces or relatively flat surfaces, "bowls" don't really capture well. The curved edges distort the pictures

The only thing close to it is the floating breeder and that doesn't hold water. But if you could get your hands on one it would probably work for photo purposes

You could also use a breeding trap. it's $6-7 at Petsmart. it's clear and sticks to the side of the tank. If you get the 3-way breeder you can also pull the bottom out of it to get more space~
