Wow, I am too, it's a sick thing for someone to do that, are you having a heat spell out there right now, I am in Boston area, and we are it was high 90's for the past 3 days, and sometimes in those areas where brush fires start, the heat intensifies the fire and someone goes and does that.. sick..

Yeah, it's been in the high nineties, low 100s for the past several days. I've taken the heaters out of my tanks, and they stay in the 90s just room temperature. (Gotta love no AC in my house. >.> )

My mom just told me that someone tried to start another fire behind a walmart that is probably 20 minutes from here. There's a mountain right behind the walmart-




They're evacuating all the houses that are in or near the forests just in case. They're trying to catch wildlife from the areas in flames and store them in a local equestrian center until everything settles down.

Colorado is famous for its beauty and outdoor activities. I've lived here my whole life, and I can't tell you how angry it makes me that someone would want to scar my state.

Fire was started at 1:00pm... it's 6:30 and we've lost over 1,000 acres.

Last year some kids started a fire in the woods next to the YMCA. A few months later some Guys broke into the YMCA and vandalized it to the Point of smashing toilets- destroying everything in sight. It was a tough year for the YMCA.

Omg, destruction of property is horrible, people just don't understand what a toll it takes on the lives of people who have to endure that kind of violence. My daughter goes to a YMCA and I would not have a job if our local Y got vandalized like that..that is where a lot of working parents have our kids for the summer.

This was a fire right behind campus 2 months ago. They canceled classes and evacuated the area. Luckily the firefighters caught it before it got onto campus and the apartment buildings at the top of the hill. There was also another fire on another hill across the city. Our neighborhood was filled with smoke :(

We were lucky we didn't have any fires near us when we lived in. Colorado. There was one near my hometown last year. Right on the Colorado New Mexico border.

I spent 12 years in Alaska, close wildfire -as in you can see the flames - are nothing new to me. They don't bother to fight them unless houses are in the way and fairbanks is pretty out ther ein the middle of nowhere. Plus I spent a year working at the Grand Canyon which also had it share of fires. However, it is horrible that someone is setting them on purpose. Don't the realize the amount of damage they are causing to people both financially and emotionally?
House fire is one of my biggest nightmares and oddly enough the DAY i moved out of my apt in Alaska the building had a major electrical fire Nothing like having to stay outside for hours during an alaskan winter >.<
