I've had that cube it was for my first betta, and I ended up having to clean it every other day!

@ Lelei 22 celsius is what they mean haha - which is roughly 71.

Ohh, didn't know about the expanding.. thanks. Well in that case, I think if you soaked freeze-dried stuff in water first so it was pre-expanded, that might help.
Micro pellets might be good for younger fish, but they might not be a favorite among larger adults.
There are some heaters that would fit in a small tank, but it's easier just to get a larger tank. Some fish in crowded spaces don't open their fins very much, so that might help. Also, you could do water changes less often. They might not seem unhappy in small tanks, but they would be much more happy in large ones.

okay I have changed to pellets and I've cleaned the water again.. the blue fish is enjoying the food change.. but the red one is the same as it was the other day, the fins are easier to separate but it's not improving at all.. the water is at 25 degrees celcius

Hmm ok the temperature is better =D (for the non canadians that is 77) try getting it to 26 That should do.

As for the red, give him some time. Some take longer than others to "feel better" or "relax".
