not hard at all
feel the bumpy/up n down movement lifting you out of the saddle
the ONLY work you have to do is not thrust, but move your hips forward/slowly, but quickly bring yourself back down(so as to not slam on the horses back)
the horse does the lifting, you do the sitting. You shouldn't be worrying about diagonals right now. Just getting the posting down.

Yeah, it's okay once you get used to it, but I have absolutely no muscle mass, so it's like a stick figure trying to keep its balance xD
