How to get a new fish to start eating?

My Nebula didn't eat for a whole week. Once he started though he's been fine.

I found it hard to believe people telling me it was ok and normal for some fish, but he did eventually start eating. Try not to worry too much. I just offered him something everyday until he started taking it.

i have a betta who hasnt eaten in about 5 days. shes not really that new and she wont eat anything, pellets, flakes, or bloodworms. she just acts like theyre not even there. but other than a loss of color, her health seems fine. im hoping that she'll eventually get hungry and start to eat!

Let's face it, dried food is boring... like eating pretzels for dinner every day... Blaaa!

Give a treat like frozen blood worms, or frozen brine shrimp. I rinse my frozen brine shrimp in a shrimp net now because they tend to cloud up the water if you don't.

Doesn't have to be every day, but once they are eating well, they will go after the dried foods with more interest.
