new from PA

Hi everyone, i am new here. i have had bettas in the past but 2 yrs ago gave ALL my Stuff away, saying i would never have aquariums again b/c they are so much work. i had literally thousands of dollars in fish stuff, and i gave it all away, b/c it took up too much room.

The other day i was in Petco and saw like 50 bettas in their little cups. This beautiful guy had to come home with me, so i just spent $175 on a 10 gallon tank and everything i needed. For a $12 fish! This is Frank- he is a half-moon double tail



I do hope to get some African Dwarf Frogs as well, so my tank is cycling while Frank lives in his gallon size bowl.
here is Frank's soon-to-be home and the terra cotta pots are for the African dwarf frogs to hide in when they come home.

Hi, and welcome to the forum! Your Doubletail is simply beautiful! You have nice decorations, especially the Terra Cotta Pots. And is that Bamboo? I've heard that the leaves aren't submersible only the stem, so be careful!

thank you! Yes the top of the bamboo is sticking out right next to the filter, not my choice, it was just too tall for the tank. i have never tried it before, but i figured if it is a live plant it will help the tank as long as i don't kill it. I will probably get more plants in the future, but waiting to see how these do.

Welcome to the forums Collen! I myself have been endulging into these beauties. It's nice to know there's someone in the neighborhood that loves bettas.

I'm from Allentown, PA. just wanna throw it in there lol xD

Oh yes, so true, I have no idea how much I already spent on fish stuff, but It's worth it, I am fairly new to betta's and fishkeeping in general and I am hooked..lol..I started with one, (isn't that always the way) and took in a rescue..and want more:) trying not to get in over my head, but how can you not!!
