New betta help please?

I just brought home my second betta, this one a female (I think)...she is really tiny and I have her in Buddy's old one gallon bowl. Is it possible for her not to know where the top is?? She has been swimming around, but seems unsure where her air is...should I take out some of the water until she gets used to the swim up?? Please help...I just rescued her from W and don't want to lose her!

I never heard of that... Um, if you're concerned lower the water level until you see her breathe. Leave it like that for a day, add more conditioned water tomorrow, and so on until it's filled up.
If she's just skimming the bottom she might have something internally wrong. Bettas are surface swimmers, naturally. Keep us updated!
