I was doing a water change this morning for my Bettas and noticed that one whos tail is usually red with a blue/black outline was starting to look rigid and then I noticed a small hole.
The end of the tail is more black and kind of clear and from what I have read it is fin rot. I've also seen pictures of it, so I am pretty sure it is just starting and I caught it early. He was still acting like his normal self energy wise and eating wise.
Now. He is housed in a 1 gallon unfiltered tank. He gets 3 water changes a week - 2 50% and 1 100%. Since I noticed this this morning, should he be treated by 100% everyday now until this clears up?
Also, I've read Aquarium Salt is optional but not necessary.
(I was gone for a few days and no one could come change the water so I think that may have been why this started to set in)
So should just water changes clear things up?
