Marimo Balls and Bettas

I saw these Marimo Balls on ebay, they look so cool... but are they a safe plant to put in with the Betta? Has anyone used them in their tanks; because I'd like to know how the look and grow. Thanks.

They're just balls of moss, they're fine for your betta tank. Just make sure you roll the ball over regularly so all the different sides get light. They can be helpful for preventing algae because they're low maintenance but they will take up some of the nutrients in the water that your fish produces.
