Are you sure that's Velvet? And you are supposed to treat it like Ich. I suggest for you to use aquarium salt and high heat to get rid of it. Here's a link of Velvet in Bettas: http://www.google.com/search?q=betta...w=1440&bih=723

Thanks!! :) What makes me think he does is on a website it said "Shine the light on the betta’s body: if it looks like it is covered with a fine gold or rust mist, then it has velvet." It does appear that way on him so I think I'm gonna treat him for it. He's a spunky little dude though so I think he'll make a good recovery!
