I think I have SAD, too. I hate winter and shorter days and I hate being confined to the house. Hopefully the warmer weather in Texas will help.

Yep, I heard without the sun you're a lot more negative/depressed and apparently that's why a lot Swedish people commit suicide; it's really sad. :(

I could be over reacting, but I think I had "Childhood Depression" last year and at the start of this year. I tend to get SERIOUSLY ANGRY rather than start crying when someone makes fun of me, something goes really wrong in my life etc.

I like to try to get outside but it's hard when I almost fear being out there. Not really for a medical reason though. My mother in law lives next door to me :O

HAHA Shirley. Going outside will make you more depressed. :p
I've been coping with depression extremely well. I went from my lowest point in grade 8, to grade 9 when I stormed out of a class room in tears. After that I talked to the doctor and with the sun thing it's gone pretty well.

Yep She is my nighmare sometimes. did you know that sitting outside for ten minutes in the sun gives you the equivalent of a full day of Vitamin D? Geez I sound like a commercial. But my Doctor told me to go outside in the sun for ten minutes a day at least to help my hip dysplasia pain. it works but I also want to mention I am an avid user of sunblock! SPF 30 minimum for this Vitamin D trick.

A friend of mine has some kind of special light that she has used for SAD.
