Not really partial to VT males either, Shaina.

But I'm willing to keep an open mind. If I see a VT that jumps out at me, literally or due to his personality or colouring, of course I won't say to him "no, I'm not taking you home with me because you're just a VT".

Me? I'm a halfmoon kinda gal. I also like them to be unusually colored so I tend to shy away from reds and blues and any variation of the two colors.

I used to be obsessed with getting a solid white halfmoon betta, but after Finlay and then Archan (two solid white male halfmoons I had that both have since passed), I kinda gave up on that color. Just the bad memories I guess.

I know I might get some weird looks from this, but I really don't like PKs. Something about their shorter finnage turns me off.

I also don't like females all that much. Same reason I don't like PKs I guess.

I don't like heavy, overly finned HMs . . . that being said, my blue dragon boy Azor has some of the largest, draggiest fins ever. They're huge and delicate and just look messy. Sure they look fantastic on AB but . . . they're so prone to fin rot and tailbiting. //end rant

What I do like . . . anything, really. The odder colours are the ones I go for, mostly, but I will never say no to common blues and reds if they are healthy.

I don't like any poorly bred fish. Tailtype doesn't matter but rosetail and doubletail is where deformities are more likely so those are my least favorite

They're all cute, but I'm sort of disliking HMs. I've always had tail biters and other issues with them. It's not that I dislike them; I just dislike the complications that they have.

I realllllllly dislike half moons. they seem much to mechanical and rounded out to seem like a work of nature. I actually enjoy watching veiltails flare and their assymmetry. I also like certain types of crown tails.

I haven't noticed many halfmoons around here having much of a lifespan. Mine was always sick :/ Canadian bred, but still... My doubletail was an import, and a little more finicky than my other fishies BUT I loooove him xD

Hmm least favorite... I..don't think I have one. I think color and personality is the two I look for haha. My next fish is going to be a dumbo PK - Big Al's has them!! -flail-

I have mostly kept VT, but like the look of HM and i think that doubles are cool looking.
no offense to crown tail lovers but i think they look terrible, all spiky and ragged like they got in a fight with a blender.

Personality and alertness is what i like to see.
