My boy's new tank!

I was feeling so guilty about putting my boy in a 1/2 gallon tank (the petstore told me that was what was best for him... LIARS), I dug in our garage until I found our old 2.5 gallon. It was filthy, and the filter was missing, but I completely cleaned it out, sterilized it with a vinegar solution, rinsed it several times, and made it pretty! I am waiting for it to get to the right temperature before putting Sheik into it, but I couldn't wait to show you guys how nice it looks (in my humble opinion! :p). So, without further ado, Sheik's new bachelor pad!

Thanks to both of you for your kind words! I'm really excited for him to quadruple his living space! He'll be going into the tank tomorrow and I'll post some pics of him exploring for you guys! :)

It's always good to hold on to old tanks..The reason I got a betta was that I found an old 2.5 tank in my storage and I'm glad I did. My first betta and couldn't be happier with the guy.

I got him moved, and I have to say, it was a little bit stressful for both of us. But he's exploring now and seems to like his new home. I will post some pics when the bubbles on the sides of the tank clear up a little bit. I think he's pretty happy with all the space he has, and he LOVES his bridge. He hides under it a lot :) I'll know he's settled when he starts making a new bubblenest lol
