Can an amazon sword live in 86 degrees?

I am cycling a 10 gallon tank, I have an amazon swor in there because the 2.5 gal that my betta is in doesn't have a very high wattage light.
I've been told keeping the tank at 86-90 degrees helps the cycle. But can my amazon sword live in this okay? Or should I put it in a critter keeper outside?

I have cycled tanks with amazon swords but they didn't do much growing during that time, maybe it made them weak?
I've had them in tanks close to your temp changes without problems but for very short periods of time.
Here: http://www.shop.plantedaquariumscent...lant-ama01.htm
It's says the temp should be 71-86 degrees.
