Can propelled bubbles hurt fish?

I have one of those things that make bubbles go up into the air for circulation and I am wondering if that could hurt Tippi's swimming or fins. As far as I can tell he loves it because he keeps going in and out. But since they have delicate fins and bodies, could that hurt them?

You mean bubbles from an aerator? Well, it would make the current stronger and he might have a hard time swimming. Hard time swimming=Stress. If you see him struggling, I suggest to turn it off.

It is only in one spot of the tank. Could it tear fins or alike?

I don't think it could hurt his fins...

Some bettas love to play in the bubbles whilst others cannot handle the current, observe your betta and make adjustments accordingly. there are control valves for airpumps whih allows you to turn the flow down
