Oh, horses, yes they can be expensive. Cheaper to pasture board, with sun shelter. But even that is expensive today. And alfalfa? Yikes. Last time i bought it was 120-160 a ton. And I could only get it in the 120lb bales.
Im not supposed to lift more than 5 pounds, hahahah. That pic? thats not a horse, its a, a, fairy.
Horses sound like jerks a lot of the time.
After I'm done working on my cat/dog/small animal vet time I'm headed over to a large animal vet though. Yes I'm nuts. I just need to experience everything! Dog acupuncture is pretty cool, the dog can lay down when the needles are in and nothing happens. O.O
Anyways it was a pretty crazy day. We're the vet's office that gets all the humane society and SPCA animals.. :( not good times. Posted via Mobile Device
Olympia, why do you think horses are like jerks? Been around a bad one? True, there are some that are stubborn and some that are downright mean. But some are just loveable sweeties who will "cuddle" with you.
Cleaned the 5.5gal thoroughly and put Scoop Jardine on the vacant side. He is not happy. He's accustomed to having his own digs and now he's got Curlin on the other side flaring at him. I was going to put Aqua Baby in but I figured she had a good chance of jumping over the divider, so she's now in Scoop's kritter keeper.
Aahnay, post pics!
And I burned my elbow on the heater in the kritter keeper.
I got a "love bite" from a horse. I didn't see anything lovable about it. It's always the animals I push away that seem to like me the most. When I started working at the vet's, I did NOT like cats. Now they are all over me. xD
Some one told me friesians in particular tend to be stubborn and mean.
