How many pellets should I feed?

I'm a new betta owner and I can't seem to find good information about how many pellets I should give my fish per day.

I'm feeding the Hikari Betta Gold pellets. I've been giving him 6-8 pellets a day. Is that too much?

Generally people recommend 4-5 pellets a day, to avoid bloating.

Should I do a day of fasting? So far he didn't get food one day a week.
Does the 5 pellets a day include a day of fastin?

Yes, fasting 1 day a week is best to let their digestive system clean out. Just feed 6 days a week and fast the other day.

I give my tiny betta 2 in the morning and 2 at night. My larger betta gets 3 in the morning and two at night.

What is considered micro sized? Like 1mm?

I feed my betta 3-4 pellets a day :D sometimes i feed him 6-7 pellets every other day :)
