Ever miss bettas from long ago?

I was really attached to my Friday and Jazz, and I'm missing them.

Cicero looks a lot like a VT Jazz (he was crowntail) and it almost hurts to think about it.

It sounds really over-dramatic, but I sometimes regret getting such a similar fish.

But it's it's okay because Cicero tries to swim against the current and he rearranges the gravel for me. Silly.

Anyone have similar feelings?

Aw I'm sorry for your loss
Yes I frequently wish I could have had better knowledge for the betta's of my past. And I feel like if I had my time back I would have known to help my sister take better care of her bettas. She had a lot! She used to keep 2-3 in those tiny tiny divided things. The whole thing might have been .5 g (divided 3 ways). And she kept it cold and without decorations. Needless to say they kept dying.
I remember 2 of my multicolored bettas and I wish I could have kept them around. Lakitu was my first betta who taught me a lot. He was always active, even in his .5 g starter kit. I upgraded him when I found this site. But I killed him when I went overboard and changed everything in the tank, added ghost shrimp (one of which died and spiked the ammonia) and yea...
It's normal to miss a pet we once loved. We cherish the memories when they pass . It's no different than a dog or cat and because they're here for a lot less time, it doesn't make it any easier when they pass.
