Fish has a shiny scale?

I just noticed on Melanie that she has a scale that almost looks like it's flaking. A few other scales are a bit shiny too. I'm worried. I hope this is not dropsy. I'm going to clean her tank right now, please let me know what you think this could me. Her scales aren't sticking up, a few are just shiny and look flaky.

Flaky? Can you post a picture? Maybe she just has shiny scales. If she has an internal breakdown, (AKA Dropsy) early signs are swollen belly and swollen eyes/face.

I'll see if I can get a pic. I only mentioned this because I haven't noticed this before :/

Edit: I can't get a clear picture of the flaky scale. She's too small, and I suppose I have a crummy camera. Not even macro mode can get a clear shot in good light.

Do fish shed their scales? Is this maybe just one of the natural shed occurances that happens to be a bit odd? Should I quarantine her for a bit?
