Just thought I'd share an awesome experience I had at Petsmart today. I was only planning on getting some Prime ... BUT ... I had to check on the bettas. There was a boy browsing them too, and in his hand he had a cup with a beatiful blue VT. I asked him if he had bettas and he told me that he had three, but one died. I then told him about mine, and then we both went through each of the bettas there, including some reasonably lovely HMs. I picked up a copper guy, and the boy was interested in what his colours were ... and then the next, and the next ... I think we spent a good half hour talking about bettas and looking at them. It was amazing what this little boy knew! He was only 7, but he knew everything about bettas, even the correct tanks and that they needed heaters and frozen food. It was just so heartwarming and adorable.
Oh and I bought the copper HM ... he's got some finrot and tail biting issues, and the kid got his pretty blue VT. :)
