Light for my tank! Help!!

I have a 2 gallon glass tank for my betta fish, Geppetto. This particular tank has a screen lid, and i want to buy a light for him because tanks look so much more beautiful lit up and i want his red color to really brighten up my all white accessories. Where can i find a small light that can be put on this tank, maybe a clip on or just something i can sit ontop the screen, because right now i have been using a small dim lighted, battery operated lantern and just setting it on top of the screen (it doesn't cover the whole screen so the fish still has air). But if anyone has links to a decently priced light (i am a poor college student please keep this in mind) i would love to read them!

Have you thought about using a desk lamp?
You can use a flourescent bulb on it and you don't have to worry about how you're going to attach it to your tank.

the tank is on my dresser and there isn't any room for a big desk lamp, i'm just more of so looking for a small clip on or something to sit on top the screen

I got LED strip lights and installed them on the lid underside. they work great and there is no need for a desk lamp.
