My sorority, one month later

I think most of the plants have settled, in fact the cabomba is loving it, I see new leaves on all the crypts, the hygro is out of the water. I'm waiting for my little Princess Peach to perk up, then I'll add the driftwood and attach the java fern to it.

It hasn't died yet! I think it likes being close to the intake tube


Two bunches of plants haven't had any luck in the front corner. Have to see what I can find, perhaps a large crypt?


Java fern babies! For once spores are good. Why I picked this bunch. Had an interesting shape and lots of spores, just a couple had fuzzy hair/roots starting.




Please ignore the diatoms, I just added one of my baby mystery snails in the pennywort. I hope s/he can clean up.

My baby bristlenose. He's in my shrimp tank for the moment. I was afraid to put him in before the driftwood.

That's some crazy growth silverfang! After seeing the before and after pictures it;s crazy how much some of the plants grew, good job on that btw! ATM most of the plants I have are slow growers so I don't see much difference very quickly. :D

How are your girls liking the tank after it filled out?

two of the girls have their own spot staked out, and I can pointed out, you caught Orange Blossom hovering in her corner. My still unnamed iridescent girl.. who dawns on me, would be a perfect iris! They still ignore large portions, but I'm popping into petsmart tomorow, and the LFS. The lfs was planning on ordering in more (I bought like half :P). Maybe a plant to try and fit in that corner.

They love the plants, and they love the sand, I swear Orange Blossom will slide her belly in the sand.

Wow, it is beautiful! I am so jealous.. I want a sorority.. and I want plants, the only plants I can keep alive are java fern & anubias... xD

Not holes, just brown spots. Spores for baby java ferns!

No, they are tiny spores, some of which have started to turn into new babies.

It's just sexual reproduction for them.
