Male female? Crowntail?

So I bought a juvenile female veiltail. I am not she if she is a female, and it looks like she is developing a crowntail.

Male veiltail...

They have a distinct shape of fins and everything.

Ah, okay. If you look at the first picture it you can kind of see the "crown" type thing.

kfryman is right. Male VT.

Just because there is any amount of web reduction it does not mean CT. CT MUST have 33% or more web reduction to actually classify as a crowntail.

Just bought a juvenile for my niece thinking it was a female Crowntail, shtoooooops on me. I guess we have a male veiltail as the fins are structured the same.

Looks like a male delta to me. Not very sure though

I see two rays (VT) and big ventrals (male). Very pretty boy though.

His webbing is more defined now, but he is not full grown yet. Are crowntails born with the webbing or does it develop over time??
