10G Stocking Options...

Hey guys, so my mom was talking to a co-worker of hers who wants to have a tank for her and her 13 year old sister. The 13 year old sister will be the one who primarily takes care of the tank and the fish and they don't want betta for some crazy reason! But they want "lots of pretty little fish", do you guys have any recommendations? Thanks for your help!

Well if they want a lot of color i would do a mix guppie tank. If they realy want a lot of color then do all males then you wont have babies and they would be all diffrent colors. And maybie a group of panda cory for the bottom of the tank.

Thanks Crowntailed, any specific type of guppy for the 10 gallon tank? How many of each would you suggest that way there is no overcrowding.

Endlers are cheaper and smaller then guppies but are less colorfull. You could probably get away with 7-10 guppies and 5 cory.
(Its been awhile since i had a 10g so someone els might help better on how many would work in a 10g)

Guppies, personally I would do no more than 5 ish male guppies...or 1 male and 2-3 female...depends on if they want to put up with babies!

They can get cories, like crown tailed said...but Pygmy cories would be best as the tank is small...pandas are a bit larger and therefore, need a bit larger of a tank...also, cories do best in groups of 6+, so I would get 6 Pygmy cories.

Aother great addition to any tank is shrimp! Instead of getting ghosts they could get cherries, crystal reds, amanos...but I would cycle the tank first as shrimp can be a bit more sensitive.

Thanks everyone! Are there any guppies that I shouldn't get or that can't be together?

Nope, all guppies can live together.
