It's... Tuberculosis. It's a disease that fish can get. Symptoms are EVERY SINGLE DISEASE. Like lethargic for no reason at all. Pineconing out of the blue. It's hard to explain... It's when a fish is sick for an absolute no reason. Be careful, it can spread to humans so make sure you don't have any open cuts.

Oh jeez. Well he isn't pineconing, he is just inactive and lethargic. Crap.

Oh, that's just 1 symptom. Not like the whole TB thing is Dropsy. This is just the last resort of what this might be. It's either that he's already sick again, something wrong with your water, or TB. Hope it's not that.

But, there's nothing else wrong with him but being lethargic and clamped, so I don't see how you're getting TB from this?

Because he's like that for no reason. A Betta has TB if it acts sick for no apparent reason. Like you don't know why he's sick, and the water conditions are great. We don't know how they get it, sometimes they just do.

I bought a yellow male a few months back, all he wanted to do was hide in his cave. I had him in a 1g container, he wouldn't eat anything I tried. I think he lived for about a month, I don't what the cause was. Sometimes they arne't healthy from the begining and there is nothing we can do to save them.

Well seeing as my fish doesn't have TB as was suggested, freaking me out and making me terrified of my own fish for obvious reasons, he's doing fine. He ate 2 pellets today and is swimming.

That's great! TB can only affect humans if there are any open cuts so, you'll probably won't get it. It's so awesome that he doesn't have it! That was a last resort question so...
