well i think your doing fine for the first time owner. I just recomend getting a mini heater (7-10watts) so your fish is happy. they need warm water. if hes happy he is healthy and lives longer.

You can always keep an eye out at the second hand stores for a tank. I found a 5 gal. tank for $4 at Goodwill one day.

I also have no place to put a bigger tank. Besides, it doesn't matter. I lost Toothbrush earlier this afternoon. I think I will get a small heater and try to build that five minute filter before I get another fish. Thanks for the advice guys.
