BELLY UP? No bro. No. i knew i shouldnt have listened to the stupid petsmart lady, she's stupid , and said 'bettafix ' i was like 'i ahvent heard good things about that.... ' and she was like ' well i use melafix .... ' and i was like, oh well if you use it it must work, k thanks, bye :D she lied to me. how DARE she try and kill my lovies. -.- so kanaplex + furan 2 + maracyn ? thats like... gotta be 50$ ?? oh my lawd!

Kanpalex OR Furan-2... Pick one, lol.

Also, the columnaris bacteria IS fin rot. Aeromonas is another common culprit, as is psuedomonas. These are gram negative bacteria which apparently do not respond as well to Maracyn in later stages as they do to Kanaplex or Furan-2, specific gram negative + broad spectrum medications.

I said no - you don't have to buy all three.. pick one and use that.

Mr V said to use Maracyn as it wasn't like it was columnaris.

I said that fin rot IS columnaris (well, very often, or a 'related' gram negative bacteria) and that Kanaplex or Furan2 seems more appropriate as treatment to me (as these are long-term fin issues and Maracyn, from the many sources I have read, is great for mild cases - persistant fin rot goes a bit beyond 'mild', imo.. )
