Help Me Be Strong!

Prana my deep blue/purple crown tail female, has a tendency toward swollen belly which I think could develop into SBD.

She of course thinks she's starving all the time. And she's stubborn she won't do wand training this week bc she figured out I don't always give her a treat afterwards.

I was hoping that the training would help her burn off some calories!

Please, remind me that I know better than her messed up inbred eat til I pop impulses.

Thank you.

LOL. Every time I go to one of my tanks I get the "WOO-HOO it's time eat" look but they get fed once a day & have one day of fasting! It's tough but it has to be. However I have my newest little girl & I'll drop 1 pellet for her a few times a day since I'm home. During the work week she'll get 1 pellet in the morning & 1 in the evening. Stay strong!

as far as I know fish don't get fat. Try 2tsp per gallon of epsom salts and see if she poops. Are her poops normal?

Her poops are normal except when I slip them tetra crisps as a treat then they are clear and stringy.

Am going to buy higher quality pellets today with garlic in them.

alright. yeah stick to two pellets twice a day then. If she refuses them wait her out. It may take a week but she'll eventually start to eat them

you train your fish to chase a wand or stick and then from there you can teach him to swim through hoops and what not. I've seen it before
