Bubble nest - that's good, right?

It's me again guys :)
You've been so nice and helpful and I am still new to all this, so I have a new question.
We got a new betta fish yesterday. He settled in fine, was excited in the beginning, then calmed down and swam all around the tank.
Today I woke up dreading having to go to the room where the tank is, as I was scared the same thing will happen again (our first betta passed away after 24 hours of his move to our tank) - but to my surprise, our little friend (called Wodner Wander ;)) has build bubbles all over the surface of the tank - can I now breathe a sigh of relief? Does that mean he is happy and healthy?
He looks much better than the first one we got (I think the first one was actually discoloured, but I only realised now that I have fish number two - had no reference before) and he is considerably bigger.

Yup! A bubble nest is a good sign. It usually means that they are comfortable in their new home.
Can we see pics of his nest? :D

I'm so glad you decided to try again! He is such a beautiful fish.

Bubblenests aren't exactly a good measure on fish "happiness" but they are wonderful to see. If he's active and eating I'm sure he's fine, it sounds like you're going to have more luck this time around - he looks so vibrant! I bet the gravel really sets his colours off. Congratulations!

You know, after the first fish I was just worried that maybe it's something in the tank, or we are doing something wrong and I still have a bit of a bad feeling when I walk in to check on him (yep, I check on my fish, like I did on my daughter when she was small :P). I think I am a bit more confident now - he looks happy and healthy :)
