MW crawling up the walls

I have tons of microworms but not too much crawling up the walls. How do you get MW to crawl up the walls for easy harvested?

Put a lid on them with no holes in it for oxygen and put it somewhere warm. Guarantee they will be crawling up those sides in no time. It's what I do if I need MWs fast.

No, you NEED the hair holes or your culture will chrash and don't put it in a sunny window.
It might be time to redo your culture, how old is it?
First try damping the sides of the containers a little. I wet my fingers and splash some water in the container every few days.
When you have MW cultures going and you have no fry to feed, you still should harvest every couple of days so your mature worms don't die and spoil your culture, it will last longer.
Also remember your culture needs to be fed yeast. I will sprinkle a little yeast every week.

Tan, of you have fry needing mw and you can't get your cultures going in time, let me know. I'll give you one of mine. I have one producing a lot of worms and have no fry to feed yet.

Hi Vicky,

My MW culture is ok. They just not that heavy. I have 8 cultures going on at the same time. I start 1-2 new cultures every week. I sprinkle yeast every 2 days.

I also keep the old cultures and restock it up with new yeast and oakmeal.

I do have 1 culture that grows fast.

Thank you Vicky.

Tan
