I would stay smaller with betts. They are found under rice pads I think in Asia. An I would not get two ever in the same bowl stay with one. :)

Leave the bowl in there it is a nice decoration you would not believe how many tanks my male Betta carter has lived in first a 1 gallon bowl then temporarily lived in my 10 gallon then moved him into one of those fish fry holders in my 20 gallon and got to see my female Betta then moved him into a divide .5 gallon tank with my female then back to a fry holder now he is in his own 10 gallon with a floating betta log he loves it . I think your' Betta is still adjusting to his new home he has probably never been in a tank over a gallon.

In there natural habitat they live in rice paddies which is 1000s of gallons they usually have a territory of 3 by 3 feet.

aww how cute! i wonder if he would like it turned on it's side with a teeney bit of gravel in the bottom.. sort of like a cave.. :)

not a bad idea but he's over the little bowl..Got a sponge filter today and it's his new toy.

maybe hes just being silly lol. or wanted to be around the fresh water being poured im some of my fish hang around where im pouring fresh water in i think they like it. or at least some like it
