I just ordered 5 large Indian Almond Leaves from ebay from a seller in Singapore. I want to put half a leaf into my betta's 5 gallon tank during times of stress and sickness. I read the seller's description, and she said that she washes them, so does that mean I can just rinse them off in cool tap water and add them directly to his tank? Or should I wash them off a bit in boiling hot water? What is the shelf life for these leaves?
My betta has a mild case of fin rot right now. I heard that these leaves help heal that too. Is this true? In any case, I just ordered them a few days ago, so it'll probably take close to 2 weeks to get here. I wish I had ordered them sooner since I need them right now, especially since I moved him to a new location this morning (same tank) and he's stressed about it.
