Derby (my new marble betta)

Hey everyone!

Two days ago I went to my LFS to pick up some supplies for my 10-gallon tank (which holds my crowntail female named Cleo, my mystery snail named Wilson, and three Amano shrimp). Of course I had to look at the bettas and I fell in love with this guy. I took him home and he's now in my 5-gallon (heated, filtered) tank. He seems happy -- he's already at work on a bubble nest. Isn't he handsome?

Christine

PS -- What kind of betta do you think he is?

Aww, he's so cute! I see he has a nick in his caudal fin. Odd, perhaps it's a genetic thing? Or a result of bitten/diseased fins healing.

Thanks! I think he's cute, too. I'm not sure about the nick. It looks like it is just the shape of his fin but I'll keep an eye on it in case it is damage. I put some StressCoat in the tank so hopefully that will help if it is damage. Thanks for commenting!
