The AQ salt will help, yes! Don't use it for more than a week though. Freeze dried bloodworms are the betta equivalent of potato chips - high in calories, but low in nutritional value. Frozen bloodworms are available at most pet stores though, and they have lots of protein. Also consider buying pellets, specifically New Life Spectrum or Omega 1, and switching off which one you feed with.
