Is betta sick or laying eggs?

My nephew dropped his betta off with me. It was in dirty tank. I have had her for about a week. Keeping her clean. But now I am afraid she has septicemia because of the veins and the fat stomach. But after taking a picture for septicemia post. I noticed that it looks like she may be laying egg? Is this egg coming from her? If so how do I keep eggs when cleaning out water?

Thanks
Jen

You don't have to keep the eggs, there's no purpose. She has internal parasites, see the other thread you posted to see what I told you. Don't make more than one thread.

That is correct...No point in keeping the eggs since they are not fertile....

To be sure they are eggs or parasites....are several dropping from her or are they hanging on her body with a string/mucus like substance.

White or creamy colored fecal matter doesn't always mean internal parasite-color changes in feces can also be due to her eating or reabsorbing her eggs, diet change or stress related. Best to observe for changes and other S/S before you treat-especially since she just came from a neglected home into your care.
