My new betta is doing the same today..hopefully she will eat tomorrow,shes seems a lot shyer than the other female that arrived with her and i know she has only had flake food so far,but i am determined that she will eat pellets the same as the rest.

i am glad your betta ate finally. And i do agree with Pogthefish bettas always hungry so be careful don't follow instructions on he box. I wish company change those instructions. I personally feed 2 pellet in the morning and 2 at night or sometimes 2 in the morning and one at night. It is recommended to fast betta once a week.
Always remove unseating food so it don't contaminate the water.

Also always acclimate your betta when you change his water. New water should be problematically the same temp as his. You can put water conditioner in and let the water sit for 24 hrs and this way water will be the same temp as his so you don't shock him with water temp difference.

I'm glad I read this thread. I've been overfeeding :( I don't feed for 2 minutes but my guy will eat up to 6 pellets at a time and in a very short period of time. Yikes..I'll cut back now. I've only had him for a week. He was from Petco and skinny.

Well come the weekend there will be nine and im kinda dreading it and praying they all work out their issues quickly lol.
