I used the black electrical tape to attach large rocks to a piece of driftwood that wouldn't sink in my 55gal tank and that was back in Oct and so far no problems with any of the livestock. When I use fishing line or thread the long fins of the albino pleco tend to get tangled in it somehow and I end up amputating parts of their fins to release them-So I tried the electrical tape.

Do you know what brand tape you use? Sometimes it's printed on the center of the roll.

You can also use clear tape. I've made this a few years ago cause I needed somehow to get the dirty out under the sponge filter, My daughter was drinking her strawberry milk one day and was using a bendy straw that's when it came to mind so I didn't have to dip my hand in the water or move it to get under the sponge filter

The straw and the airline fits snugly so you don't have to tape them together
