100 is pretty high, but certainly not unheard of. i doubt anyone's ever paid $1000 for a betta besides in the fighting community, which is just sick.

He is striking and dramatic but has too many flaws to place well in shows.

the only flaw i can see is a slightly overcurved back...what others am i missing?

Actually he has a nice top line. He is a very, very nice fish and would place well IMO

He's a little long in the body which makes his fin perimeter kind of oval. His dorsal and caudal don't quite align properly. Same with the anal/caudal alignment. The disrupted butterfly pattern of his caudal won't get any points. Neither will the uneven ray spacing (which give his caudal an unbalanced look). Neither will his kind-of-short ventrals. The OHM spread doesn't get points either.

In other words, I've seen better. And so have you, Mo.

Most of the fish i really like on ebay or aquabid start out at 80$ or more!! I just cant see it for the average pet owner, although i would LOVE to have one.
