How to use clove oil to euthatnize fish

I have decided to use clov eoil after taking to an aquarist at the aquarium today. He was explaining how they do surgeries on fish of all size with what not and I asked about clove oil and he said when he was in the Artic how they use clove oil to sedate fish. I asked about euthanasia with clove oil and he said that is the most humane way. So I'll take his word for (and behind the scenes is so cool!! So much DIY!! There filter for 3 tanks was a garbage can, no joke).

Anyway, in half a liter of water, if I was to euthanize Swish using clove oil, hoW much would I add? I've done a bit of research, but I just want to see what you say. Then I'll put his girlfriend in the ten gallon with my other bettas.

Thx, and I know not to flush, freeze and dump them in a boiling pot of water.
