I'm buying the pH kit to test the water because I didn't cycle the tank prior to putting my betta in, so it's been running for about 10 days. I just want to keep all the ammonia/nitrite/nitrate levels in check so I can establish a good cleaning schedule. Caviar gets lethargic every 2-3 days and that's when I figure I should change the water. I probably won't purchase the stress coat, but I think I will get the aquarium salt! I do need to get a new bottle of conditioner though, thinking of going with Prime versus API.
