bubble wall and sponge filter

Thinking about exchanging my marina 50 air pump that is running my sponge filter and getting either a whisper 20 or 40 and also putting up a bubble wall. Think it'd be too much and which of the 2 pumps would you get..I want to be able to have bubbles throughout the wand and good flow on the filter. I'm new so not sure if the 40 would be overkill or the 20 would be too weak.

Leaving in about an hour..I hope someone can help before I go or I guess I'll get the 20 and hope it's strong enough.

Well for those who care I ended up keeping the marina 50 and got a top fin 3" round airstone disks..That little air pump is a workhorse, saved the money I would have spent on a bigger pump and it looks great, I may put up a video of my tank soon if so I'll put the link on my signature.

I prefer biowheels because you will not disturb the Beneficial bacteria doing filter maintenance. I never use the carbon filter materials.

oh I have no carbon..Running a petco power20 hob which I replaced the media with marineland bonded and a sponge filter.
