I have a thermometer ordered for my new 5.5 gallon. It was supposed to get here today, but of course it was delayed and won't be here until Tuesday or Wednesday. Well... my new fish is here now, and while I have literally everything else in this new tank, I don't have a thermometer for it.
I have two thermometers in my 2.5 gallon (a strip thermometer that isn't the best, but is fairly accurate, and a glass thermometer that is suctioned to the side). My 2.5 gallon is not cycled and Drago (who lives in it), is entirely healthy. Is it alright to take the glass thermometer from the 2.5 gallon and put it in the 5.5 gallon? I'd like to get my new fish in there, but obviously I'm not going to blindly trust my heater. I have it set for about 79, but it's a brand new heater, and without a thermometer, I can't know the temp of the water. So... is it alright to transfer the thermometer?
