Question Can I separate my amazon sword into smaller bunches?

I was wondering if separating my amazon sword into smaller bunches was possible. If so, how? It is pretty big, like 8 inches at it's tallest leaf.

Thanks!

Yes and No you can not just separate the randomly there will be separate stems you can separate the stems also they will grow weird looking chord sometimes with flowers also new plants growing the chords also the ones you separate need roots the stem and leaves they need a lot of CO2 fertilizer and light the ones you can separate grow in clumps.

No, only if it produces New plants, what Chocolatebetta described. Amazon swords get huge, they are tank busters. They can easily outgrow a 55 gallon tank given years, but they will. I don't recommend it for small tanks now because it will take over, if it stays small it is lacking something.

So no, you can only trim big leaves.

It really only flowers in pristine conditions for swords... same with getting baby swords. Usually you need sand for them to get new plants.
