Hey. Today I upgraded my fishes tank to.. I don't know, a massive-ish one. Previously he had a smaller one of course, but no filter as it was to strong, so I just removed it. Now that I have this way bigger tank, I put the filter back in and positioned the out pipe (Pipe full of holes in this case) right behind the heater to try and get the temp all around the same. He keeps trying to get closer to the heater (Previously he would hang around it quite a lot) but never gets to it because he cant beat the current.
There's tons of room, so I don't understand why he has to be right next to it. I upped the temperature to just below 80F and it's just started to rise. Before it was in the good zone but could have been warmer so I'll try this. But will this constant current fight be bad for him? I don't want to remove the filter because it helps keep the whole tank warm. I'll add pic below =)
