Thank you very much :) Walmart does seem to keep the good fish in the back all by themselves. I found a friend of mine a really beautiful CT last weekend. He had a light pink body that had a purple hint to it, his fins were red/purple with a bit of blue to him. I'll have to tell her to get some pictures of him.

It shall be interesting to see how Spot grows and if his spots get any bigger or if more come along. He does have that name to live up to, lol.

As for my roommate, he has been with me all three times I have got bettas. After all he brought me my first one (who passed away.) And so far I have had no luck converting him over. I need to find a green one! Green is his favorite color then maybe I can get him bitten by the betta bug, mawhaha!

He is a cutie! Good luck with finding a green fishy, let me know if you do, so I can prepare my fish napping caper!

Thank you, lol. I shall do that. I've been keeping my eyes out for one. That way I have the excuse but he is green and you like the color green so we are keeping him for when I do find him.

Some new pics of spot

Him "shimmering" in the light:

He is a beauty and love his spots ! Wow this last picture is awesome !!! Love the shimmer he has too. Welcome to the forum so happy you joined us !

One thing you may want to be careful of is the blue green decoration plant I see, it could rip his lovely fins and you dont want that I know . You might need to take that out and a good rule of fellow is, if the decoration is sharp enough to rip pantyhose it can rip their fins.

Well Spoty boy is living up to his name, not to mention his red is becoming a bit of a redish orange. And he has a a streak of shiny white running along the top of his body (I'll have to get a picture of that) The more rounded spots on him are blackish blue and the longer ones (ones mostly on his fins) are a deep red.

Overall, he is a bit lighter in coloring than what the picture shows

(not the best pic, sorry)

Thank you. I have no idea where his coloring is going, lol. I noticed he had a bit of orangish tint on his fins today. As I said, he is light overall than what the pics show. Like his body is really more of a white than it is pink.
