I would wait on the epson salts, and stop the aq salts. I would start the meds at this point. It'll clear up the fungal infection and possibly help what ever else is going on with him.

I don't mean to derail the thread here, but I have a minor question on the same topic. What is a "normal" color for betta feces?

I ask this because my betta had a small string hanging out yesterday with feces attached. I did see him eat a very small piece of string that came off of a decoration the previous day right after I spotted it and before I could remove it from the water. I'm pretty sure that's what it was, as he is very active, colorful and curious. I'd just like to know what to look out for.

its a brownish red (more like burnt orange than red). lol

Going to medicate today should i keep him in the hospital tank if so, do i medicate for a few days doing 100% water changes and re-adding medication. It says on bottle to medicate and then repeat every 3-4 days this is assuming they are in the main tank with filter still on first time doing this so want to make sure i get it right thanx again for all yr help

Sakura8 just recommend API general cure for parasites the other day.
might be good to give it a try. apparently it's fairly mild too

Hi thanx but i cant get that where i am, would have to order online and dont want to wait that long dont know if any1 has used King British Disease Clear before

I've never used it, but if you googled it, I'm sure reviews about it will pop up.
