Saw this section and figured I might as well introduce myself.
Hi! I'm Meia Pipa from Canada! I have one Betta (possibly a half moon? Not entirely sure...) named Teriyaki who I've had since the beginning of June. He's black bodied with small, shimmery white dots. His fins start red near the body, then extend to a mix of shimmery white and black.
My Betta experience started in the beginning of May when two of my friends decided to give me a Betta for my birthday. His name was Sushi, and he was a sort of indigo colour. Unfortunately, he wasn't very healthy from the beginning, and died two weeks later.
But my current little one has been going strong for a while, and even survived being babysat by my parents and then grandmother.
While I'm not exactly a Betta enthusiast, I'm hoping to find a better home for Teriyaki in the form of a bigger tank soon.
