I would keep up with the daily water changes. If you dont have enough meds to last the week you could do 50% changes

Yes i think so, they look much better than yesterday so hopefully thats a good sign hes still not very active, one other thing sometimes he looks to be flaring when hes laying down, dont know if this is good or not, as he had stopped flaring completly and hes also not leaning down on his side so much like hes about to fall down

thats good. the slight flaring could be many things; poor water conditions (which I know isn't the problem), trying to get as much oxygen into his system as he can or possible gill flukes (but you'd see little white worms on his gills, and your general cure might take care of it).

Cant see anything on his gills its 3rd day of medication now, white at end of fins seems to be improving, but hes still really lethargic resting at bottom of tank how long is it safe to medicate for? also was wondering about his main tank will i need to completly disinfect it? i have been carrying on with normal water changes

is this day 2 of 3 of medication? sometimes it does take a few days to kick in. It should say on the bottle not to medicate past x amount of days but a week is generally a good measure. as for his main tank you will need to sterilize it. A vinegar solution is the safest.

Today is now 4th day of medication will carry on for about a week and see how he is then, should the white bits at the end of his fins completly go and will i need to also re-cycle my tank? and what about the live plants?
Thanx

You will loose part of your cycle because you'll need to put a new carbon filter in to remove the medication. The white bits at the ends of his tail (unless its part of his coloration) should disappear completely.
